Huawei's Wang Tao: Super-node clusters of over 100,000 cards will become the baseline configuration in 2027.

At the 2026 AIDC Industry Development Conference and 3D Data Center On-Site Meeting, Wang Tao, Vice Chairman and Rotating Chairman of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., stated that large model scale has already surpassed one trillion parameters, and 10 trillion parameters will soon become the baseline scale for super-large models; AI is gradually evolving from a passive question-answering tool into an intelligent agent capable of autonomous planning and task execution. At the same time, the open-source ecosystem is maturing rapidly, and the industry scale is accelerating its expansion. China's average daily Token consumption has grown from 100 billion per day in early 2024 to 500 trillion per day recently, an increase of nearly 5,000 times. What follows is a restructuring of cluster forms, and super-node clusters of more than 100,000 cards will become the baseline configuration by 2027.
