Eight departments: Accelerate the integrated development of whole-house intelligence.

Notice from the Ministry of Commerce and seven other departments on the issuance of the Action Plan for Promoting Smart Home Consumption. It mentions promoting the improvement of the intelligent grading and evaluation standard system for smart home products, accelerating the formulation and implementation of mandatory national standards such as smart home interoperability, and accelerating the integrated development of whole-home intelligence. Basic telecommunications enterprises shall be promoted to enable IPv6 by default on their own home broadband network equipment in their environments, and the IPv6 connectivity rate of home networks shall be improved. For newly built fully decorated residential buildings, requirements for basic smart products installed within the units shall be specified, and fiber-to-the-room deployment shall be encouraged. Research, development, and application of key standards such as smart home and smart community shall be continuously carried out.
