Hou Weidong appointed acting mayor of Quanzhou.

On September 14, the 17th Standing Committee of the Quanzhou Municipal People's Congress convened its 42nd meeting. The meeting deliberated and decided to appoint Hou Weidong as Vice Mayor of the Quanzhou Municipal People's Government, and appoint Wu Guohui as Deputy Director of the Quanzhou Municipal Supervisory Commission; it accepted Cai Zhansheng's resignation from the post of Mayor of the Quanzhou Municipal People's Government and Li Zhanxin's resignation from the post of Director of the Quanzhou Municipal Supervisory Commission, and reported the same to the Quanzhou Municipal People's Congress for the record; it decided that Hou Weidong, Vice Mayor of the Quanzhou Municipal People's Government, shall act as Mayor of the Quanzhou Municipal People's Government, and that Wu Guohui, Deputy Director of the Quanzhou Municipal Supervisory Commission, shall act as Director of the Quanzhou Municipal Supervisory Commission.
