The country's first large-capacity electric heavy-duty truck charging demonstration station has been put into operation.

State Grid Corporation of China is actively exploring pathways for the large-scale application of electric heavy trucks, serving the development of the new energy vehicle industry and the green low-carbon transformation of transportation. On August 4, the heavy truck charging demonstration station at the State Grid's Zhangqiu Service Area on the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway was officially put into operation, becoming the first high-power charging demonstration station for electric heavy trucks in the nation. The Zhangqiu heavy truck charging demonstration station is constructed and operated by the State Grid Electric Vehicle Service Company, featuring six dedicated charging spaces for heavy trucks, equipped with twelve high-power charging terminals. The maximum charging power of a single gun is 800 kilowatts, allowing a heavy truck with a battery capacity of 450 kilowatt-hours to be fully charged in just 15 to 20 minutes at the fastest. The six charging spaces at the demonstration station adopt three technical approaches, divided into a DC microgrid flexible charging area, a high-efficiency high-power charging area, and a pre-installed integrated charging area, utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as quantum battery safety detection, zero-power standby, and flexible grid adaptation, providing a model for the construction of high-power charging stations for electric heavy trucks.
