According to reports from the China National Railway Group today, from January to July this year, the national railway system transported 2.8 billion passengers, a year-on-year increase of 4.1%, setting a new historical high for the same period. In the first seven months, the national railway system cumulatively transported 14.852 million foreign passengers, a year-on-year increase of 32.5%. The Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link transported 20.049 million cross-border passengers, while the China-Laos Railway transported 214,000 cross-border passengers, representing year-on-year increases of 11.5% and 38.2%, respectively. International passenger trains on the China-Mongolia, China-Russia, China-Vietnam, and China-North Korea routes have been operating steadily, effectively supporting "cross-border tourism."
