According to a report by the Hong Kong Economic Journal, citing Hong Kong Stock Exchange CEO Charles Li, as of early August, the total amount raised from initial public offerings (IPOs) in Hong Kong has reached $41 billion, and it is expected to set a new record this year. Charles Li stated at an event in Kuala Lumpur that this year's IPO fundraising has already surpassed the $39.5 billion raised through 120 companies listed last year.
