The water level of Poyang Lake continues to decline, falling below 14 meters.
Due to the recent prolonged high temperatures, the water level of Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China, has decreased rapidly. As of 8:00 AM on August 8, the water level at the Xingzi hydrological station reached 13.97 meters, down 0.13 meters from the previous day. The water level at the lake outlet station was 13.84 meters, with obvious signs of water receding along both banks of the lake area.
