The United States has implemented a minimum import price and additional tariff measures on imported polysilicon and its derived products. The minimum import price for polysilicon is $21 per kilogram, equivalent to approximately 142,000 yuan per ton; the current average domestic price for N-type dense material is about 32,000 yuan per ton, making the U.S. import floor price approximately 3.4 times higher than the domestic price. All types of polysilicon, silicon ingots, wafers, batteries, and modules must meet the corresponding minimum import price thresholds. This new minimum import price mechanism across the entire supply chain levels the cost advantage of overseas products. The rules apply to all sources of imports and are not specifically targeting China, aiming to curb regulatory evasion and significantly compress the arbitrage opportunities for third countries, thus raising the overall cost of overseas processing capacity exported to the U.S.
