According to data compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers from the General Administration of Customs, in June 2026, the import of complete automobiles reached 38,000 units, a month-on-month increase of 0.6% but a year-on-year decrease of 10.1%; the import value was $1.90 billion, a month-on-month increase of 6.0% but a year-on-year decrease of 15.6%. From January to June 2026, a total of 201,000 complete automobiles were imported, representing a year-on-year decline of 10.5%; the import value was $9.44 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 18.5%.
