The general election for the Election Committee constituency of Hong Kong will be held on November 22, 2026.

A spokesman for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced today that the Chief Executive has designated November 22, 2026, as the voting date for the 2026 Election Committee general election for functional constituencies, in accordance with Article 16 of the Schedule of the Election Committee Ordinance, to elect the appointed members of the new Election Committee. The relevant announcement has been published in today's Gazette. In addition, the nomination period for the election will begin on October 7 and end on October 20. The Chief Electoral Officer will timely issue an announcement specifying the deadline and location for the submission of nomination forms, as well as disclose relevant details. The Special Administrative Region Government will continue to work closely with the Electoral Affairs Commission to actively prepare for the election, ensuring that it is conducted smoothly in a public, honest, fair, safe, orderly, efficient, and human-centered manner.
