Australian AI infrastructure company Firmus has completed a $2 billion financing round, with participation from Nvidia, Blackstone, and others.

On August 7, Australian artificial intelligence infrastructure company Firmus announced the completion of a $2 billion strategic equity financing, with investors including NVIDIA, Coatue, and funds managed by Blackstone Group alongside other Blackstone investment vehicles, as well as global trading and technology firm Jane Street participating in the investment. Firmus stated that this funding round will be used to accelerate the deployment of its "Southgate AI Factory" project in Australia and to prepare for future expansion into other markets in the Asia-Pacific region.
