On the 6th, local time, it was reported that officials in the Trump administration are considering postponing the tariffs originally scheduled to be imposed on solar panels and other products containing polycrystalline silicon for several months. Sources indicate that President Trump may order the implementation of the related tariffs as soon as Thursday, but officials are contemplating a transition period of 90 to 120 days. It is reported that this arrangement could encourage companies involved in U.S. renewable energy projects to expedite imports before the tariffs are officially imposed. (CCTV News).
