Lancme's first flagship store in Asia-Pacific has closed, marking the end of an era for high-end beauty retailers.
L'Oral has confirmed to reporters that, due to the expiration of the lease, the Lancme store at APM Wangfujing in Beijing will officially cease operations on July 30, 2026. This store, which was once considered a milestone for Lancme in China as the first global flagship store in the Asia-Pacific region, quietly comes to an end after less than six years of operation. A site visit by reporters revealed that the original Lancme store has changed its barriers, and all in-store facilities have been cleared out. Staff at the APM mall disclosed that a new brand has already taken over the space and will soon begin renovations. The brand has not yet disclosed further details regarding the closure, but Lancme's customer service informed reporters that there are still 18 counters operating normally in Beijing.
