Hainan has launched a Level 4 emergency response for flood and typhoon prevention.

The Hainan Provincial Disaster Prevention, Mitigation, and Relief Committee has issued a notice to initiate a Level 4 emergency response for flood and wind prevention. According to meteorological forecasts, due to the influence of the monsoon trough, from the night of the 4th to the daytime of the 5th, some townships in seven cities and counties in Hainan, including Ledong, Sanya, Baoting, Dongfang, Wuzhishan, Lingshui, and Changjiang, are expected to experience heavy rainfall of 80 to 150 millimeters. Additionally, some townships in eight cities and counties, including Wanning, Qiongzhong, Danzhou, Baisha, Lingao, Tunchang, Haikou, and Wenchang, are expected to receive rainfall of 50 to 80 millimeters.
