On August 4, Counterpoint Research released the latest global memory tracking report, indicating that in the second quarter of 2026, Samsung will regain its position at the top of the global DRAM market with a 39% market share, returning to the levels seen in 2024. SK Hynix and Micron follow closely behind with market shares of 26% and 25% respectively. Meanwhile, ChangXin Memory has become the fastest-growing DRAM manufacturer globally, with a revenue growth of 716% year-on-year, mainly benefiting from strong traditional DRAM demand and continued capacity expansion in the Chinese market. Neil Shah, Vice President of Research at Counterpoint Research, stated that in the second half of 2026, if ChangXin Memory can expand its capacity to meet domestic and international market demands, its market share is expected to further increase, potentially leading to changes in the market landscape.
