Yamaha Motor will lay off 200 employees in its outdoor land vehicle division.
Yamaha Motor has announced that it will adjust the workforce in its outdoor land vehicle business, affecting approximately 300 positions, including a reduction of about 200 full-time positions. The company will cease the in-house production of recreational off-road vehicles in Georgia, USA, and switch to an outsourcing procurement model. This adjustment aims to reallocate operational resources to the all-terrain vehicle and golf cart businesses. A one-time cost of approximately 12 billion yen for structural reform is anticipated in fiscal year 2026.
