According to the Zhithong Finance APP, on August 3, the National Development and Reform Commission together with the National Energy Administration issued the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Construction of a New Power System." It mentions that by 2030, a preliminary new power system will be established: a green and low-carbon electricity supply structure will be basically formed, with the proportion of non-fossil energy power generation reaching 50%; the electricity supply capacity will continue to enhance, significantly improving the complementary and resilient level of the electricity system, maintaining a reasonable level of electricity supply adequacy to effectively meet the electricity needs for economic and social development as well as the better lives of the people; a safe, reliable, green, low-carbon, resilient, intelligent, and flexible new power grid will be preliminarily established, fully leveraging its role as a resource allocation platform and servicing function, achieving a high-level integration of over 2.8 billion kilowatts of new energy, and building a charging infrastructure network that can support the mobility of over 110 million electric vehicles; energy-efficient, green, and low-carbon electricity consumption methods will accelerate in formation, with virtual power plants becoming an important carrier for coordinated interaction on the electricity demand side; system regulation capabilities will be significantly enhanced, and various regulatory resources will achieve efficient utilization; breakthroughs will be made in key technological equipment supporting the new power system, and a smart, green, integrated power industry system will be basically formed; the institutional mechanisms of the new power system will be further improved, and a unified national electricity market system will be basically established.
