JD.com acquires Zhangjiang core land plot: Establishes ground for intelligent industry base for robots.

On July 22, JD Product Development announced that it had successfully acquired a prime industrial land in the core area of Zhangjiang Science City in Pudong New Area, Shanghai. It plans to develop it into JD Robot Intelligent Industry Base, with a total planned construction area of approximately 105,000 square meters. It is expected to be fully completed and put into operation in mid-2029. The focus will be on three major tracks: humanoid intelligent robots, industrial robots, mobile robots, and core components.
