Trump says he is willing to engage in dialogue with Hezbollah in Lebanon.

On July 21st local time, U.S. President Trump met with Lebanese President Aoun at the White House. Trump stated that the U.S. is willing to help Lebanon, including reviewing the progress of the Lebanese armed forces taking over "test areas" villages after the withdrawal of Israeli forces, and resolving the issue of Hezbollah in Lebanon. If Aoun wishes, he is willing to engage in dialogue with Hezbollah. Additionally, after the meeting, Trump stated on social media that he plans to have all U.S. airlines resume direct flights to Lebanon. If this plan is realized, it will be the first time this direct flight route has resumed in over 40 years.
