Forest fires broke out in the southern French department of Var.

On July 19th local time, a forest fire occurred in the Var department in the south of France. As of 6:45 p.m. that day, the fire had destroyed about 180 hectares of forest land, approximately 160 residents were evacuated, and several houses were damaged. According to the Var department government, the fire broke out in the afternoon and quickly spread. Around 285 firefighters and firefighting helicopters were deployed to fight the fire. Due to the fire, several roads were closed and train traffic between Toulon and Nice was suspended.
