According to the Suzhou released data, in the first half of the year, the total foreign trade import and export volume of Suzhou was 1.83 trillion yuan, an increase of 40.9% compared to the same period last year. This growth rate is higher than the national average and 24 provinces by 17.1%. Suzhou's contribution to the national and provincial foreign trade growth was 14.4% and 79%, respectively. Of this total, exports amounted to 1.09 trillion yuan, an increase of 33.4%, while imports totaled 734.42 billion yuan, an increase of 54%.
