Inspur announced the completion and operation of the first domestically produced 100,000-card AI supercluster in China, the Shuguang 8000.
At the 2026 Intelligent Computing Application Conference hosted by Sugon at the Photosynthesis Organization, it was officially announced that China's first national 100,000-card AI supercluster, the Shuguang 8000, has been completed and put into use. The development and construction of the second national 100,000-card super-intelligent fusion algorithm system has also been initiated. The Shuguang 8000 is designed for large-scale models and scientific intelligence that require full precision and large-scale computing power, and adopts the "super-intelligent fusion" technology route, supporting full precision coverage from FP64 to INT8, and creating a cluster of computing power samples covering a variety of scientific research and industrial scenarios such as scientific computing, large-scale model training, AI inference, and industrial simulation. Currently, the Shuguang 8000 has relied on the national supercomputing internet access to integrate the national grid, completing more than 300 optimizations of super-intelligent fusion applications on the core nodes with 100,000 cards, covering more than 20 cutting-edge fields such as large-scale models, robots, quantum computing, new materials, and more. Over 70 applications have achieved scale expansion to tens of thousands of cards, verifying the stability and reliability of the core nodes in large-scale, high-load scientific research tasks.
