The Japan Nuclear Regulatory Commission announced on the 9th that Tokyo Electric Power Company's Fukushima Daiichi and Daini nuclear power plants had improperly managed anti-terrorism confidential information, allowing non-security personnel easy access to relevant information. The Japan Nuclear Regulatory Commission stated that the two nuclear power plants had multiple confidential documents related to anti-terrorism measures that were supposed to be strictly managed according to regulations and stored in designated locations for access by authorized personnel only. However, upon inspection, it was found that the anti-terrorism confidential documents were stored in shared folders on multiple department computers, allowing staff without authorization to access the information. According to the Japan Nuclear Regulatory Commission, no leakage of relevant confidential information has been discovered yet, and further investigations will be conducted to determine the reason for the information management loophole.
