According to the financial app Sina Finance, storage chip giant Micron Technology announced on Thursday that, driven by the continuous surge in demand for memory in the era of artificial intelligence, the company is accelerating its investment plans in its wafer factories and technologies in the United States, and is increasing its expected spending to over $250 billion by 2035 from the previously planned $200 billion. Micron expects that the increase in investment will help it achieve its long-term goal of increasing the production of domestic DRAM in the United States to 40% of the company's total global production, while creating more high-paying direct and indirect job opportunities.
