At the end of June, the field of controlled nuclear fusion welcomed three major "good news": on the policy level, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration issued the "15th Five-Year Plan for the Construction of a New Energy System", clearly listing controlled nuclear fusion as a key direction for future energy technological innovation and development; on the technological level, the domestic "artificial sun" project has made the latest progress, with two sets of fusion reactor key superconducting magnets successfully developed and tested, achieving 100% localization of core technology; on the capital level, 24 institutions jointly entered the field, with Star Nuclear Fusion completing an angel round financing of 830 million yuan, breaking the record for the first round of financing for domestic private nuclear fusion companies.
