On June 28th, a outdoor adventure safety accident occurred in the Dagger Gorge of Xianyou County, Putian City. Nine outdoor adventurers had an accident while exploring the undeveloped area, resulting in the drowning deaths of five people. On July 1st, Putian City's Cultural and Tourism Bureau announced that they recently issued a notice emphasizing the prohibition of organizing tour groups to travel to undeveloped open areas. The notice specifies that the control area includes all areas within its jurisdiction that have not been approved by the competent authorities for filing, are not officially open to the public, have not completed standardized tourism development and construction, lack safety protection facilities, lack emergency response systems, lack formal tourist routes, and lack supporting service facilities.
