Germany and the Czech Republic break their own record high temperatures.

On the 27th, Germany and the Czech Republic both broke their national record for highest temperature. According to the German Meteorological Service quoted by DPA, preliminary temperature data measured in the region of Mueken-Dreiwitz in eastern Germany reached 41.5 degrees Celsius, breaking the previous record for highest temperature in Germany. This is the second consecutive day that Germany has broken its record for highest temperature. On the 26th, the German Meteorological Service measured a high temperature of 41.3 degrees Celsius in the western city of Saarbrcken, breaking the previous record. The Czech Republic also broke its record for highest temperature on that day. The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute announced on social media on the 27th that the Meteorological station of Doukasani north of Prague recorded a temperature of 40.6 degrees Celsius, surpassing the previous record of 40.4 degrees Celsius set in 2012, and this value may still be broken.
