Lu Yutong, the chief architect of the "Lingcheng" supercomputer system, stated: "The innovative architecture of 'super-intelligence integration' drives China's supercomputing to 'reach the peak' again."
The 67th edition of the Top 500 list of global supercomputers, released in Hamburg, Germany recently, showed that China's supercomputer "Sunway TaihuLight" made its debut at the top of the list. This is the first time since 2017 that a Chinese supercomputer has claimed the top spot on the list. Lu Yutong, the chief designer of the Sunway TaihuLight supercomputer and director of the National Supercomputing Shenzhen Center, went to Germany to attend the award ceremony. In a written interview with reporters, she said that the innovation of the "super intelligence fusion" architecture was an important factor in China's supercomputers reclaiming the top spot. "Chinese supercomputers have now transitioned from catching up to leading in the field of super intelligence fusion architecture innovation, turning computing power advantage into productivity for scientific discoveries, engineering breakthroughs, and industrial innovation," she said.
