Argentina plans to launch the "Golden Passport" program to repay its debts.

According to two unnamed sources, Argentina plans to launch an investment citizenship program this year. The Argentine proposal is that applicants can donate approximately $500,000 or purchase sovereign bonds with a face value of around $1 million USD at zero interest in order to apply for citizenship. Details of the program are still being finalized by the Argentine government, and there may be adjustments. The Argentine Ministry of Economy, which is leading the development of the program, has declined to comment on the matter.
