On June 26, the first unit of the Daduhe Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station of State Energy Group successfully achieved grid-connected power generation, marking the entry of this major national clean energy project into the power generation operation stage, and providing important support for the construction of clean energy supply system in the southwest region and the realization of the "dual carbon" goal. The Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station is located in Maerkang City and Jinchuan County of the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province. It is a key reservoir and "head" power station on the upper reaches of the Daduhe River. The project is mainly focused on power generation while also considering flood control, with a total installed capacity of 2 million kilowatts and a designed annual average power generation of about 7.7 billion kilowatt-hours. After 11 years of continuous construction, the project has completed the second phase of water storage. The overall engineering image meets the conditions for unit commissioning, and the first unit has operated smoothly, safely, and controllably after grid connection.
