Tesla reportedly plans to produce the Model Y long wheelbase version in the United States this year.
Tesla launched the Model Y long wheelbase version in China last year, which features slightly larger body dimensions and has quickly become a hot seller. With a longer wheelbase, a more spacious interior, and more legroom in the rear seats, many American consumers are eagerly anticipating the arrival of this model in their local market. American consumers have long been calling for Tesla to release a larger SUV model. According to reports, Tesla is reportedly planning to introduce the Model Y long wheelbase version to the American market this year. Citing "reliable sources," analyst Sam Fiorani from an automotive forecasting solutions company stated that production of this model is expected to start later this year. Fiorani said, "The Model Y long wheelbase version is expected to begin production in the US in September and is set to officially enter the North American market by the end of 2026," with production taking place at the Texas Gigafactory. Additionally, several camouflaged Model Y long wheelbase versions have been spotted in the US, further indicating Tesla's plans to introduce this model to the American market.
