Huawei's Wang Tao: The industry needs to collectively define the mobile communication networks for the next ten years.

On June 24th, during the 2026 MWC Shanghai, Huawei's Vice Chairman and Acting Chairman, Wang Tao, delivered a keynote speech. Wang Tao stated that looking ahead to the future, the industry needs to collectively define the mobile communication network for the next decade. In this regard, Huawei proposed several initiatives: first, globally coordinate to promote the identification of U6GHz as a mobile communication spectrum in more countries, laying the foundation for global mobile connectivity in the next decade; second, under the unified standards of 3GPP, collectively promote the development of the NTN industry, forming a communication network primarily based on terrestrial, with seamless integration between land and sky; third, collectively define the next generation AI-native core network to enable future intelligent body business; finally, actively explore new models and scenarios for mobile services, cooperate with commercial networks, and create new commercial value.
