The new multi-purpose destroyer "Cui Xian" has officially entered service in the North Korean Navy.
According to a report from the Korean Central News Agency on the 24th, the inauguration ceremony of the new multi-purpose destroyer "Choe Yeon" was held in a grand manner at Nampo Port in North Korea on the 23rd. Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission, attended the ceremony. The report stated that the "Choe Yeon" destroyer completed a one-year and two-month combat capability evaluation and testing program and has officially entered service in the Korean People's Navy. Kim Jong Un congratulated the ceremony, stating that the changes in the North Korean navy are not just about the increase in the size of ships and modernization of equipment, but also changes in status, tasks, and operational areas. He said that the North Korean navy is developing into a branch of the military with strategic capabilities.
