Ford recalls nearly 45,000 F-150s in the US, as the transmission may accidentally shift into first gear, posing a safety risk.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the United States on June 17th, Ford Motor Company is recalling a total of 44,963 units of the 2014 F-150 models. The announcement shows that the signal transmission between the transmission output shaft speed sensor and the powertrain control module of the above-mentioned vehicles may be interrupted, causing the transmission to accidentally drop into first gear, leading to a risk of loss of control of the vehicle and increasing the probability of collisions.
