Veteran filmmaker Huang Baimei sentenced to five months in prison for insider trading case, revoke bail and immediately serve sentence.

Veteran filmmaker Wong Pakming was convicted of insider trading on May 22, 2026, and sentenced on June 9 at the West Kowloon Magistrates' Court to 5 months in prison, a fine of around 99,000 Hong Kong dollars, and to pay 370,000 Hong Kong dollars in investigation and litigation fees to the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission. On June 17, he applied to the West Kowloon Magistrates' Court to revoke his bail and was approved to immediately serve his sentence.
