The price of long-term US Treasuries has risen significantly, with the two-year real yield increasing by more than 6.6 basis points.
On Tuesday at the end of trading in New York, the yield on the 10-year US Treasury bond fell by 5.13 basis points to 4.4217%. Before 14:55 Beijing time, it was roughly stable near 4.47%, and then accelerated its decline. At 01:56, it hit a new daily low of 4.4178%. The yield on the 2-year US Treasury bond fell by 2.31 basis points to 4.0432%; the yield on the 20-year US Treasury bond fell by 5.08 basis points to 4.9265%, continuing to decline after the US Treasury Department disclosed the auction results at 01:00. The yield on the 30-year US Treasury bond fell by 5.31 basis points to 4.9274%. The spread between the 2-year and 10-year US Treasury bond yields fell by 2.219 basis points to +37.825 basis points. The yield on the 10-year inflation-protected Treasury bond fell by 1.83 basis points to 2.1158%, hitting a daily low of 2.0920% at 18:55. The yield on the 2-year TIPS rose by 6.63 basis points to 1.7249%; the yield on the 30-year TIPS fell by 3.22 basis points to 2.7018%.
