Wang Huning meets with Nepalese Foreign Minister Hishil.
Wang Huning, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with Nepalese Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali in Beijing on the 16th. Wang Huning stated that in 2019, President Xi Jinping's historic state visit to Nepal elevated the China-Nepal relationship to a strategic partnership of generational friendship oriented towards development and prosperity. China is willing to work together with Nepal to maintain high-level exchanges, enhance political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation, and promote the continuous advancement of China-Nepal relations for the benefit of both peoples. The CPPCC is willing to actively contribute to this endeavor. Pradeep Gyawali congratulated China on the successful start of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and expressed belief that under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, China will surely become a strong socialist modernized country. The friendly relations between Nepal and China are based on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, and Nepal firmly adheres to the One-China principle, not allowing any force to use Nepalese territory to engage in anti-China activities, and looks forward to expanding cooperation with China and sharing development and prosperity.
