The State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters will raise the flood response level from level four to level three in Guangdong and Guangxi.
Since June 13th, heavy rain to torrential rain has successively occurred in the central and eastern parts of Guangxi, the central and northern parts of Guangdong, and the eastern areas, with local precipitation exceeding 600 millimeters. It is expected that strong rainfall will continue in some of the above-mentioned areas from the 15th to the 16th. The Central Meteorological Observatory issued an orange alert for heavy rain at 10:00 on the 15th. According to the "National Flood Control and Drought Relief Emergency Plan" and relevant regulations, the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters decided to raise the flood control emergency response level from level four to level three for Guangdong and Guangxi at 11:00 on June 15th, and to continue to maintain level four for Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, and Hunan. The working group dispatched by the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters Office will continue to work in Guangdong and Fujian, and an additional working group will be sent to Guangxi to assist and guide on the front line.
