Chinese enterprises have completed the construction of part of Route 12 in Madagascar.

The first phase of the Madagascar National Road No. 12 project, which was undertaken by the China Railway 18th Bureau Group, was completed on the 13th. The completion ceremony was held in the southeastern coastal city of Tolanaro, and was attended by the interim Head of State of Madagascar, Rajoelina, and Prime Minister Randrianiaina. The first phase of National Road No. 12 is located in the Anosy Region of Madagascar and is approximately 45 kilometers long, with 5 bridges along the way. Once completed and opened to traffic, it will become an important transportation artery in the southeast of Madagascar.
