On June 12, the Ministry of Transport held a party group meeting to listen to a report on the safety production accidents in the transportation sector in May and to review the "Fifteen-Year Plan for the Development of Smart Transportation" and the "Fifteen-Year Plan for the Development of Chang-Zhu Navigation". The meeting emphasized the need to accelerate the construction of modernized shipping systems in the Yangtze and Pearl Rivers, strengthen the construction of mainline channels, optimize and improve the high-level waterway networks in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta, promote the integration of water, river, sea, and rail transportation, enhance safety supervision and emergency rescue capabilities, improve the level of smart and green development in shipping, promote the large-scale application of new energy and clean energy ships, create a golden waterway for the whole basin, and provide strong support for serving the country's major strategies.
