Starting today, child passengers can purchase railway tour tickets and enjoy child discount policies, making parent-child and family travel more convenient and affordable. The child tour ticket launched this time is an optimized and upgraded service product based on the existing adult tour ticket. The railway tour ticket product, which will be implemented starting in June 2023, is mainly aimed at adult passengers. It operates on a "buy once, travel in segments, valid for 15 days" model, allowing ticket buyers to independently choose 2 to 10 segments of travel between designated stations. Each segment of travel is one-way and in a designated seat class, with ticket prices enjoying discounts of varying degrees, with the lowest being 85% of the average fare of the same route and seat class. An Zhongwen, Director of the Revenue Synergy Department of the China Railway Group's Passenger Transport Center, stated that after this optimization and upgrade, child passengers can also purchase railway tour tickets at a 50% discount compared to adult passengers, implementing a "double discount" policy.
