IGO stated that a processing plant owned jointly by IGO, Tianqi Lithium, and Albemarle in Western Australia caught fire. In a statement submitted to the Australian Securities Exchange on Wednesday, IGO reported that the fire occurred on Tuesday at the 3rd chemical grade plant in Greenbushes. The company mentioned that the fire has been extinguished with no injuries reported. IGO also mentioned that the 1st and 2nd chemical grade plants in Greenbushes were not affected, and the business is still expected to meet IGO's annual production targets. IGO mentioned that the joint venture company Talison Lithium, responsible for operating the business, has started investigating the cause of the fire. The company also stated that an assessment will be made for the necessary repairs.
