Ministry of Civil Affairs holds national teleconference on promoting the development of rehabilitation aids industry.

The meeting pointed out that the rehabilitation assistive device industry is an emerging industry, a future industry with strong comprehensive strength, wide coverage, and great driving force. It concerns the welfare of hundreds of millions of elderly people, disabled people, and the injured, and is also an important means to cultivate and strengthen the new economy and forge a new engine for economic development. Currently, China's rehabilitation assistive device industry is developing well, with strong social demand, but there are weaknesses in policy support, market cultivation, promotion and application, industry regulation, and professional talents that need to be addressed. The meeting emphasized that all regions should actively expand effective demand and promote a virtuous cycle of supply and demand. They should focus on cultivating market entities, expanding and strengthening the industry scale, nurturing a group of high-quality enterprises and well-known domestic brands. They should increase promotion and application, accelerate the cultivation and opening of application scenarios, improve service networks, and strengthen display and promotion. They should strengthen consumer support, stimulate consumption potential through social insurance, subsidies, and other policies. They should optimize the market environment, increase regulatory efforts, and strictly adhere to quality and safety bottom lines.
