Cantonese car heading south will expand to the entire province of Guangdong.
The Hong Kong SAR government announced today the expansion of the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Passenger Clearance" arrangement. Considering port operations, overall road traffic conditions, user feedback, and public adaptability, the Guangdong and Hong Kong governments have agreed to gradually expand the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Passenger Clearance" to the entire Guangdong province. It will be first extended to all nine mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area by mid-year, with the daily quota for inbound travel to the urban area being increased from 100 vehicles to 200 vehicles, and the introduction of the "Easy Parking Pass" service at border parking lots. The Director of Transport and Logistics of the SAR government, Cherry Chan, sincerely thanked the Central and Guangdong provincial governments for their strong support in steadily advancing the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Passenger Clearance". Cherry Chan stated that the SAR government will continue to promote the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Passenger Clearance" according to the strategy of ensuring safety, effective diversion, complete support, and simple application, to attract more customers from mainland cities, including individuals and families with higher spending power, to Hong Kong, thereby boosting economic growth and promoting further integration and development of Guangdong-Hong Kong cooperation towards a new level.
