The world's first APRIL-targeted biologic drug, Sibelizumab, has been approved in China for the treatment of IgA nephropathy.

It is learned from Taizhou Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. that its Sbeli monoclonal antibody injection has been approved by the National Medical Products Administration for use in reducing proteinuria in adult patients with primary immunoglobulin A nephropathy at risk of disease progression. The drug targets the inhibition of proliferation induced ligand and is the first biologic agent approved globally for the treatment of IgA nephropathy.
