The Securities and Futures Commission and Hong Kong Monetary Authority have jointly published a summary of the consultation on the revision of the over-the-counter derivatives trading provisions under the "Clearing Rules". Given the widespread market support, the Securities and Futures Commission and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority will proceed with the legislative process to introduce the proposed revisions into the "Clearing Rules" and plan to implement the revisions from March 1, 2027.
