On June 4th, several market participants and individuals close to regulators informed Caixin that the issuance of Data Asset-backed Securities (ABS) has been temporarily suspended. Two investment bank sources stated that on June 3rd, they received guidance from the exchange to suspend the filing of Data Asset ABS, and that they would be discouraged from applying independently. Another senior bond market participant mentioned that not only have the filings been suspended, but projects that have already been approved have also had their approvals for closing documents suspended, and projects that have received approvals may need to postpone their registration for issuance.
