Inner Mongolia Baotou city puts hydrogen-powered two-wheelers into operation.
Recently, our country's independently developed hydrogen-powered two-wheeler has been put into operation for the public in Baotou, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The first batch of 1000 vehicles will be deployed in public spaces and convenience areas, effectively establishing the important application of solid-state hydrogen storage technology in civilian transportation. It is reported that the hydrogen-powered two-wheeler being deployed this time is equipped with self-developed rare earth solid-state hydrogen storage alloy core materials, with a single hydrogen fill capable of driving over 100 kilometers, able to operate normally in environments as low as -30 degrees Celsius, maintaining over 90% of actual range in winter, solving the problem of range degradation in high-cold areas in the north. Additionally, utilizing low-pressure solid-state hydrogen storage technology, the hydrogen-powered two-wheeler has low hydrogen storage pressure and features an intelligent monitoring platform to monitor key indicators such as pressure and temperature in real time, ensuring stable and reliable safety performance. Since the vehicle runs entirely on hydrogen power generation, the energy conversion process produces no exhaust gas or pollutants, with only pure water as the reaction byproduct, achieving zero carbon emissions throughout the journey.
