The track laying project of the Chengdu-Chongqing intercity high-speed railway has been launched. After completion, the journey time between Chengdu and Chongqing will be reduced to 50 minutes.
Today, the Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed rail line will start laying tracks in the direction from Jianyang to Lezhi, marking the official entry of the Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed rail line into the full track laying stage. The Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed rail line starts at the Chengdu hub Chengdu Station, and ultimately enters Chongqing North Station. The main line is approximately 292 kilometers in total length, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. After the completion and opening of the Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed rail line, the journey from Chengdu to Chongqing will be reduced to 50 minutes, further promoting the optimization of the road network structure in the Chengdu-Chongqing region and the development of the twin-city economic circle.
