Vice Director Su Bo of the National Manufacturing and Building of a Strong Country Strategic Advisory Committee: We must deeply understand the trend of integration between AI and advanced manufacturing, and improve the top-level design.

On May 30, 2026, the Forum on Building a Strong Country with Equipment was held. At the forum, Su Bo, Deputy Director of the National Manufacturing Empowerment Development Strategy Consultative Committee and Director of the National Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee, stated that there is still not enough unified understanding on "where to go and how to promote the new generation of intelligent manufacturing". The key is to deeply grasp the trend of integrating AI technology with advanced manufacturing, further improve the top-level design, strictly propose the system architecture, development path, and key industry promotion plan for the new generation of intelligent manufacturing, clarify the stage goals and key tasks of autonomous upgrade, and implementation rhythm. We must adhere to a national strategy, promote central and local governments, industries and regional leading enterprises, and small and medium-sized enterprises to work together, forming a coordinated advancement pattern of top-down and left-right collaboration.
